There are many situations that we come across as we grow up right from child to adult to mid aged person and so on. But just one thing that strikes my mind whenever I sit and think about how we have travelled this Life’s journey is:

“My Dearest , Bestest, Amazing, Talented, Intelligent, Beautiful, Religious, Humoruous, Friendly,Futuristic Thinking, StrongWilled,Brave, Bold, Kind,Humble,Smart,Superstitious,Homely,Cute Childishness, Eager for learning,Curious, Pillar of Support, Patience,Sacrificial etc…” and my lifelong teacher my “MOM”.

Yes, I am going to document the things I learnt from my Mom so that I dont forget as I grow older in this Journey of Life.

Day 1 at my School. Mom dropped me at the entrance of the School and I was all crying from my home as usual, never been exposed to any formal schooling like any other kid at around 2.6 yrs age. I still remember the scene where I just escaped from the backside of school and reached our home. Mom comes back home and she is all laughing and surprised to see me sit outside the house weeping my eyes. She wiped my eyes, lifted me and gave a baby hug and took me inside the house. No scoldings or any gyaan sessions were given to me inspite of me doing the the naughty thing of jumping off from the school.

From next day onwards, I was a damn obedient kid. Entire street where we lived started appreciating and my mom felt so happy that the kid has gained interest in schooling. Mom used to drop me and pick me up and sometimes it was dad who used to drop on his way to office and mom used to pick me back. Our home was very near to school, it was hardly 5 -8 min walk. Enjoyed my nursery days , peeping the windows riding some wooden horses, playing some fun musical chair games at school and ernestly waiting for the bell to ring and to see my Gem’s face. I used to be all gilltery when my Gem came to pick me back, she would carry my bag, water bottle and some times carry an umbrella when it rains. A very pacified kid. As soon as we reach home, I used to start my Tantrams asking for “Mom i need sweets to eat. Mom I need more sweets etc” One day, two day ….365 days a year I used to run behind my mom asking to provide me wit sweets. My mom was so very kind and sweet to me that she used to invent various types of dishes. For instance there is this dish called “ China Visri” wont be available in any shops as this was a invention and name was also coined by my gem mom. Basically the steps are pretty simple. Make a Dough out of wheat, Roll it in to a circle shape like chapathi, Dissect the circle into many small chunks of any shape of your choice. My mom used to cut it into Diamond shapes. Next she used to fry in Oil and then drop those mild friend diamond shaped biscuit into the Sweet Sugar Syrup [ Boil water + add sugar ]. The dish is ready, let it cool for some time and then start to much. I used to love the way she used to present it. In a big size plate, arrange all the diamond shaped biscuits coated with sugar syrup. I used to munch on it immeditaley and just overlooking at the front verandah, and enjiy the tasty china visri’s. This was just one of the many many signatures sweets my mom used ti surprise me when I was back from school.

I grew up my entire Life with my Parents and with my Super Talented Sister. After her marriage she had to build her own family and we were staying about 300km away from each other. It was just me, my mom and dad. Most of the time when we want to meet my sister, we just used to take our cute big brother “GANESH” [our first car: more about him a little later] and load the pendrives with nice AR Rahman, Ilayaraja, Old Music and drive through the National Highways and meet my sister and family. Life was pretty interesting, learnt driving withing a span of 10–15 days and kept taking GANESH out for short and long trips. My Mom and Dad used to constantly guide me and motivate me during every ride. Of course my sister was another guru during the drive’s. We enjoyed the scenic beauties of Ooty ( Nilgiris Mountain ), A lot of Temples in and around a radius of 500KM, WaterFalls, Dams,Grandpas village etc. I dont know how I was managing to drive so strong and very energitic. The weekend drives with our family’s best friend GANESH was simply one of the best times in our life.
